Functionality

Its overcomplete, it has many nice features built in, and thats the plus. The downside is, thats its a massive, bloated, costly software.

Ease of use

You need no documentation to use it. Its quite intuitive, thats good because documentation lacks of information.

Support

You will not get any support, if you don´t let them log into your site. If you and your client allow this, that support is 90%.

Documentation

You never will get any insight here - its quite incomplete.

Value for money

If you use it for 1 site and never want to fix anything on your own, its worth its money.

I used this to: I wanted a easy blog with good SEO. Easyblog is massive and bloated. It makes callbacks. It has a massive 7-Step Installer, but often you have to download a preinstaller first. Many updates failed last year. You never get support, if you dont give access. Bad choice for MACs.

Functionality

Whether you are using EasyBlog as a stand alone or as part of a social community there is no better functioning blog for the Joomla CMS

Ease of use

EasyBlog UI has been created so even the newest of users will have no trouble using this blogging system. Even install is all but automatic.

Support

You will not find a better support system than those of the creator's of EasyBlog. Period! Their response time and solutions are top notch.

Documentation

Their documentation is as thorough as the program itself. Detailed and easy to follow.

Value for money

When you combine the product, support, documentation and expand ability of EasyBlog there is no better value anywhere for Joomla.

I used this to: I use EasyBlog for my new social community website. Since EasyBlog is also designed as a multi-user blogging system that integrates into your community of choice there really is no better blog. Users appreciate the ability to share within the site's community and social media

Functionality

Didn't do what I needed. I'm not a Joomla expert but I know my way around. Should have been easier to set up.

Ease of use

Easy I suppose until you want something beyond the stock set up.

Support

Support was very courteous and attempted to help but the software wasn't up to the task. Wasted two weeks working on it.

Documentation

Didn't have much help for my needs but the best software is intuitive.

Value for money

Gave refund but it wasn't easy. Warned that they would take action if I used it again. Have the emails so please don't deny. GPL?!

I used this to: Wanted to use it for a business blog that was only accessible to certain clients. Convoluted is the best description for the settings. I can only figure that most don't need anything special Switched to the most well known blog software as a separate install along side Joomla.

Functionality

This is the best blog extension for Joomla, and I've been using it for years. It has a lot of basic and advanced features.

Ease of use

It's pretty simple to use; the hardest part is the setup each time (it would be really nice to have a json file to save settings). The setup

WAS great early on. Now it's terrible. Over 3 weeks since I reported a major issue (crashes 5.4 sites). NO RESOLUTION! NO COMMUNICATION!!

Documentation

Adequate for most users. In the past I've asked for help via ticket and that was good, but now sucks.

Value for money

It's getting much less so with the lousy support. If there was something that was even slightly close, I'd change.

I used this to: Various client sites. Good way to add new content and keep Google happy.

Everything works right out of the box and it does exactly what I need it to do.

Ease of use

Simple install friendly admin interface. New users may need sometime to familiarize themselves of the settings as the product is very robust

This is where stackideas crushes the competition. Their support team is always able to quickly help me with any issues which I may run into.

Stackideas has a slick documentation section for all of their products based on your expertise level

Value for money

$79/yr for 1 extension may seem like an awesome deal but you can bundle every extension for only $249/yr with full support which is amazing

Functionality

It has tonnes of options and the best I found it useful is the autopost, and to social media with RSS feeds etc. SEO friendly tagging.

Ease of use

You don't need to be a programmer to know how to use this blog. The backend admin is one of the best and everything is self explanatory.

Support

Support is top notch with their ticketing system. You don't need it that regularly, but they are always there to help.

Documentation

As mentioned, every function is self explanatory, and with a detailed documentation just help further.

Value for money

I have spent on other components but nothing comes close to EasyBlog. Multiple themes, blog functionality with social built in. Worth it!

Functionality

I switched to Easy Blog because it had Multi Blogger Functions. It has an insane amount of features. For eg I am a big fan of templates.

Ease of use

If you just want to slap together a quick & dirty post maybe this is overkill. If you like making more polished stuff then it is perfect.

Support

Best of all is their support. They even have a trade mark name for it “Sensible Support” This last claim is an understatement 100000000000%.

Documentation

Not perfect but still the best documentation I have ever seen. If you have a problem their support will walk you through it & explain stuff.

Value for money

The best investment of my life period.

I used this to: To help me spread my dreams in a slick and innovative way. I am a happy Stackideas Camper!

Exceeded my expectations. Has many more features than I was looking for or expected.

Ease of use

Despite lots of features the interface is very easy to navigate with helpful popup tips in numberous locations.

Support

Excellent support & very responsive. Didn't just pass me to a forum or KB article but provided some code and a link to exact file to edit

Documentation

Excellent, very easy to access and understand. However, I struggled with a CSS edit but this was resolved by logging a ticket within minutes

Value for money

Got more for my money than I was expecting based on previous Joomla extensions

Functionality

I really like EasyBlog and would recommend it. I am using it several times a week to post blog posts. Works great with Neno Translate.

Ease of use

Very intuitive to create new articles. And adding images is easy.

Documentation

Value for money

It is the only paid extension I use, but it is worth every penny.

I used this to: My own personal web site. I blog about twice a week and have about 700 unique visitors a month.
