Joomla! image slider module which is based on popular Nivo Slider jQuery plugin and provides possibility to create awesome image slideshow uses images from specific folder(s).

Functionality
My application was fairly simple - 10 photos with headings. Worked first time easily
Ease of use
Had it working very quickly. The basic display is simple enough to work out.
Support
I had a problem with menu being covered by the slider. Sent and email explaining and got an answer back that worked in 20 minutes. Amazing.
Documentation
Easy enough to follow. I used the .ini file as described. There seems a lot you can do but the basic is good enough for me.

Functionality
Just what I was after. Clean image, possible to hide all navigation icons. Good control of transitions process and timing.
Ease of use
Link to a folder of images allows easy change of image selection. Works "out of the box", but flexible if needed.
Support
Very prompt reply from developer on forum. Small issue of conflict with template settings resolved with a suggestion. (Thanks again!)
Documentation
Didn't seem to be necessary (but present -See "Description" tab after installing).

Functionality
Attractive slider, smooth transition, navigation arrows and dots give user control. The dots are too small for mobile, plus no swipe.
Ease of use
There are many options to choose from. However you can copy an existing module to replicate the settings.
Support
Good for a free product. I got support by email, since forum has password issue. First answer was incomplete. Second answer gave fix.

I will make the navigation dots bigger with a larger dot sprite and 4 CSS rule overrides.

Functionality
Very good. It is very easy to install. The pictures fade and change smoothly.
Ease of use
It is very easy to install. I copied some CSS codes and paste them into the setting section, and the module display nicely. I am very happy.
Support
I haven't tried getting support, yet. But I think there are many people sharing experience in various blogs and sites. Should be ok.
Documentation
I haven't tried to find documentation, yet. I don't know much about programming, so I won't understand the technical language.

I received timely & useful support when I was starting to use ARI Image Slider, & when recently having difficulties as I had not updated it
Documentation
It could use some additional documentation, but it's free so we can;t have everything at that price.
I used this to: Over the past few years I have grown to use about 150 slide shows on my site, adding more all the time. I like that the plugin creates the slide show from a folder, so all I need do to change the slide show, is change the files in the folder! I highly recommend ARI Image Slider!

Can be used as a banner or a slide show in any module. You can have more than one per site. With thumbs or without.
