MyShortlist is a favorite items system for Joomla which allows your site users/visitors to create personalized favorite lists of articles or other Joomla components' items. It is ideal for websites featuring products, article series, advertisements, events or more, from which a visitor would like to add to their wishlist/favorites!

Heart button anywhere

Button-only modules can be set to show a classic heart icon that is toggled.

Multiple Admin & User-Defined Wishlists

You can have as many lists as you want per module, defined either by administrators or by users for themselves.

Send list to admin or friends

Users can send their lists to admin-set emails or to other friends, if permitted.

Optimized for website speed

No libraries, no add-ons. As lightweight as it gets.

Add to Cart for Joomla articles & other components

Simulate cart functionality, by adding items in favourites and sending them to admin.

PDF list creation

Users can download their list as PDF.

Lacks Chinese characters an emoji support in PDF export

Functionality
This is a great extension but unfortunately the PDF exports doesn't support emojis and non-Latin characters. No Chinese characters allowed.
Ease of use
Needs some learning... not easy to deal with in the beginning like with any other extension.

Value for money
Good value for money. Well worth the bucks despite some trouble.

MyShortlist uses the TCPDF library to export PDFs.
You need to change the TCPDF font, with one that supports all the characters you need.
You can do that by translating the language key MOD_MYSHORTLIST_PDF_FONT.
Since MyShortlist displays all these characters, it means that they are supported.
The TCPDF library is out of our control.

A great component with a lot of functionality.. i was searching something like this for guest and registered user
Ease of use
This extension works great, very intuitive functionality and ease ti use
Support
Support is just great! Fixed problem in 1 day then incorporated solution into the product so that others could use it.
Documentation
Good documentation in the forums & if you still have a problem he is quick to fix it for you. He went above and beyond in fixing problems!
Value for money
Absolutely top in value for money besides that there is no other extension comparable.
I used this to: For couple pages instead shopping cart. For orders without card payment, and works great!

Simple yet very versatile, can be used on virtually any component you want.
Ease of use
It has a bit of a learning curve but with documentation and excellent support you will get the component working pretty fast.

Flexible extension for bookmarking Articles. You can use out-of-the-box functionality or put it easily into your own template-overrides.
Ease of use
Most of the many possibilities are so easy to understand, that you donot even need to read the documentation.
Support
Great and fast support! Whenever you have a problem, you get help.
Documentation
Little FAQs at website and very good information directy at the backend. Whenever the documentation isn´t enough, you get fast help.
Value for money
Weather you only want to bookmark some articles or like to use this extension for much more detailed things: Little money for alot of fun!
I used this to: Doing favorite lists for uers for different kinds of item-types.

Functionality
Shortlist is also ready to handle the bigger amount of data.
My project iMusea runs save and smooth for years now...
Ease of use
I changed the CMS from Joomla3.0 to Joomla4.0 and had to install the newest version 1.10.1456 with a simple override.
Support
Great and quick service at the helpdesk. If i run into difficulties somebody is always there to help me out.
Documentation
Enough to make it work in a proper way. Many answers are given on the support site as well as an installation video too!
Value for money
Besides the outstanding support the price/quality balance gives me lots more quality then the cost of it.
I used this to: Giving my visitors the opportunity to make their own 'mini museum guide' out of hundreds of items what makes them to return regulary to their "own sites"

Functionality
This adds a my favorites button to Joomla website, very useful if you have a large website with many articles.
Ease of use
I would say quite easy to use, it does need to be set up with attention to the details.
Support
The extension makers spent a lot of time searching why it did not work for me out of the box, in the end it was something very simple
Documentation
I think it could have some more documentation, the tooltips are however explanatory and useful.
Value for money
Absolutely top in value for money besides that there is no other extension comparable.
I used this to: To add favorite button to my websites one of which is a website that has come from Joomla 1.5 to 4.0 and I experienced no installation problems.

Functionality is as described, u easily can adopt the favoruites feature to your site. List, plugin, custom blocks are all worked out outst.
Ease of use
Lots of parameters to give it a custom look and, lots of funcions in the module.
Support
Support is outstanding, had a small problem with configuring the plugin, dev responded fast and helped out with pointing on what the problem
Documentation
U find almost everything on his site, later as functions are widening it needs more updates, support forum is alive, Chris (dev) helps u out
Value for money
Worth it's money, no questions. You get top notch support for your money, as well as component+module+plugin,
I used this to: Create favourites list to a wedding dress saloon - like the "big" ones

works great right out of the box & it does everything it claims it can do.
Ease of use
Had a difficulty incorporating it into Community builder (my problem not the extension) fixed it quickly.
Support
Support is Steller! Fixed problem in 1 day then incorporated solution into the product so that others could use it. (new feature)
Documentation
good documentation in the forums & if you still have a problem he is quick to fix it for you. He went above and beyond in fixing MY PROBLEM
Value for money
worth it's weight in gold pressed Latinum! It fills a gap in the ability of community builder when used as a social platform
I used this to: a favorites list incorporated into community builder. Much better than the connections field built into CB

Does exactly as advertised. Also did not take long to figure out how to use with NicePage component.

Very easy to set up right out of the box. Enjoy the flexibility to customize icons and colours of icons.

Well worth the investment. I always enjoy a well designed and executed product.
I used this to: Bookmarking online books and courses. Most frequent concern I heard from users was not remembering the last chapter or page they were on. This takes care of that problem elegantly.
