Functionality
Increases joomla search functionality, however, developers should create a pro version with better characteristics

Functionality
Somewhat limited as the search does not include extra fields or tags. However it is FREE and what is does, it does very well.
Ease of use
Very easy to set-up
Support
I have not called upon their services.
Documentation
I didn't require any documentation. It installs and works just like any other extension.
I used this to: I don't actually use it as unfortunately it doesn't work with K2 tags or extra fields. However I still think it is good extension for those who don't require this functionality and best of all, it's free.

First of all, I must say that the support I received from the developer in trying to make this extension work for a client has been excellent.



RSsearch is easy to configure and use and the search results are presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner.



This extension would have earned five stars but has one flaw which prevented us from using it.



Due to the method used in performing the search, articles which contain a superset of the search string will be returned. For example, if you look for the word "king", articles with the words "working", "biking", "undertaking", etc are all returned.



There is no way to make the search more finite. In our case, and in the case of many users I'm certain, this would not be acceptable.



Keep up the good work RSJoomla. With this fine-tuning, this extension would be the best.

This product claims to be able to return search results from Virtuemart via the plugin which is in stalled when the product is installed. This does not work with J! 2.5.14 and VM 2.0.24.



Too bad. This was a promising replacement for the broken VM search module.

I can't express how great stuff they do.

this is a very simple but effective search module.

I use it with K2 and would be grateful if they include seblod functionality.

the best it is free.



please give us more free stuff from RSJoomla.

I tried to find a free search module for my joomla site. There are not too many options. RSSearch is what I need. Also I had a great support from RS Joomla Team. Thanks!

This component is simple and usefull, but have two points to check:



1º only first term in search is used (two or more returned Not Found Result)



2º Serious errors with SH404SEF (At this time, dont have plugin)





The developer need correct this situations for the excellence of the component. (Sorry for bad English)
