Introduction

J2XML is an easy to use import/export solution for your Joomla!® powered website.

It allows you to export content (articles, categories, users, tags, weblinks, viewing access levels, contacts, fields) to an xml file, import them from an xml file, or send them to another Joomla! website.

This is really an amazing extension (once you get it working).



It does wonders and I was able to shuffle content from J2.5 to J3.x in no time.



The steps to install are also really simple once you figure it out. It would be helpful if the installation procedure was explained in the download section in 3-4 lines.



Still an amazing result!

Never was there any other Joomla tool that saved me so much time! I've used it before to migrate 1.5 sites, and I was very happy to see that there's one now for 2.5 +. Thanks a bunch and keep up the good work. I will make a donation!

I've used this tool quite a few times for migrating from Joomla 1.5 to 1.7. Again from Joomla 2.5 to 3.1. Then used it for saving my content from a hacked site. This tool has saved me a lot of work. This extension cuts out a lot of the disk in manually importing and exporting article data with their proper owners/categories.

I had to migrate a website from 1.5 to Joomla 3.x . Thanks to this component, migrating all my articles was so easy.

Don't forget to preserve the ID's (it's in the settings): it makes other things, like migrating comments, much easier.

Very easy to set-up and use. I transfered 100s of articles from different categories in a 2.5 site to new categories in a 3.1 site without any problem. The trick is to transfer content one category at a time if you need content to go in specific places. Very happy with how much work I've saved. Thanks to the developer.

I had to migrate hundreds of articles and categories in multiple languages. This extensions made it a piece of cake and save dme hours. No need for an expensive extension.

I don't really post reviews but this is an exception. J2XML made life so easy. I have procrastinating about migration for 2 years and then i came across this. A few trouble with setting up the path and for installation of the plugin etc but after that it was easy as a breeze.

A very good extension for import and export.

More than 700 articles are export and import very easily. Even when I had a problem with enconding the developer help me right away.

I recommend this extention to anyone.
