I'm sure it is good but never had to read it as the editor is very easy to use.
I used this to: Every website i build and have been for roughly 10 years. I have tried other editors when working on 3rd party Joomla websites but I always uninstall them and use this. It is the best by far.

Editing the articles in a more friendly environment than the original editor.
Ease of use
it's not hard to learn how to use it. many buttons act in the same way as Word suggests.
Support
it works well in joomla 3.5.
Documentation
honestly, i didn't refer to the documentation for help.
I used this to: class practice. it's helpful in designing our website.

jce won't leave my code alone and the authors seem to have a philophophical need to not change it. < becomes > and line feeds goaway...
Ease of use
turning on and off 'validate html' has no effect that i can see.
Support
won't listen to users. there are 100's of forums asking why can't you leave the code alone, all responded to, but the response is 'NO';
