Installation is ok but configuration is a complete nightmare. Stay away from Eshop I honestly found this hard to use as I have to jump through a dozen of pages to complete even simple tasks such as coupon code creation for products.

The support tries its best but I dont want to contact them every second, the system itself should be comprehensible. Really shame for a commercial product.

Are you sure that you are one of joomdonation.com customers? Are you sure that you have purchased and used our EShop extension?

Why do we ask these questions? Following are reasons:

1. After your review was approved, we went to our orders management system to find EShop's clients but we didn't find any order from you!

2. We also find in our email system, support ticket system, forum and same result, we didn't find you. So we don't know who you are!

3. In the review, you said: "I have to jump through a dozen of pages to complete even simple tasks such as coupon code creation for products". This is completely not correct. Coupon code creation for products (and other management sections in back-end of EShop) are simple to use. To create coupon code, just need to click on "Coupons" link on Dashboard of EShop, then click on "New" button on toolbar and enter coupon information and click on "Save" button. They are standard steps of joomla management!

If you are a real our client, then please contact us to get supports. We always check the email, support ticket and forum daily and reply ASAP!

This extension caught my eye as soon as it was online and what a pleasure it has been to use. Detailed clear instructions made using this extension a breeze. When I did run into problems the support has been second to none. The developers constant online support and assistance has made buying this extension probably my best purchase to date. I highly recommend this extension to anyone requiring an online store or catalog........... awesome thanks guys!

eShop is the best.

eShop is fantastic, logical and easy to use. There is no bloat-ware so its easy to teach others and a joy to use. But the best thing is the support. The support is excellent and fast - and often in real time. Nothing is too much trouble - they listen to your needs and ideas with the view to improving the component.

Ive been building eCommerce sites professionally for nearly 10 years and was very happy with VirtueMart until VM2. My clients and I were often forced by webhosts to upgrade to Joomla 2.5 which basically forced us to also upgrade to Virtuemart to VM2.

This was where it came unstuck - it was a nightmare. It was a complete rewrite that didn't make sense anymore to my clients or me. My peers and techs were experiencing same - and pulling their hair out with frustration. I couldn't explain it to my clients and none of them liked it or were happy to use Virtuemart any more.

I ended up refunding and paying clients out and my business was about to die - until I found eShop. Now my clients and I are happy again. With some big sites I even paid eShop to do the conversion and upgrades for me - at lightening speed.

eShop is 10 out of 5! - and their support is personalised and fantastic.

If you want a PRO e-Commerce this is a MUST HAVE !

After using VM for my website and having many issues, I was interested in finding another option (easy, quick and cheap) so I moved over to eShop. This extension did exactly what it said. Attractive, easy to setup, easy to work with and is worth every cent! eShop is PERFECT for newbies like me :) and I'm glad i have found it. I highly recommend this extension for anyone needing a shopping cart! I am happy now because i can use CSV file to add bulk products, in just few minutes you can add hundreds of products.

I have tried numerous other eCommerce solutions for Joomla on a number of websites I designed and manage. As I have been having issues with great many of them, I proceeded on a quest to find a simple yet powerful solution - found it in eShop! I am not running a complex store and did not want a complex setup experience. I did have one small issue after the installation of the product and did contact customer support, expecting to hear back in a couple of days - I had a response within one hour. Problems solved; extension works like a charm; happy client and happy designer. If you are looking for a easily understood; out of the box eCommerce solution - I would very highly recommend this product. I understand it is a 'young' product, but has great potentials replacing some of the old faithfuls - I am looking forward to upgrades! The price is also VERY affordable for what you get - including the great support!

I'm a customer of Joomdonation for about 2 years and like their products, especially the event extension. However, this one is totally a rubbish. It's a premature birth as there is nothing inside for a real ecommerce site.

No plugin for search component!!, no payment gateways (just paypal), no shipping plugins (no ups, usps, fedex, weight based etc.), no themes (just a default orange theme)... And the most tragic thing, there is no change history/log, they have released a new version but we don't what have been changed and how we're going to get affected.

In short, Eshop is still at BETA stage and a product should not be on sale at such a level.

Thank you for your review. This your review was almost correct at the time you wrote it, but NOT NOW. EShop is stable 1.1.0 now with many improvements, features added and it is used on many our client's e-commerce sites:

1. There are totally of 16 payment gateways are added to EShop now: http://joomdonation.com/eshop-payment-plugins/view-category.html
2. There are totally of 7 shipping plugins in EShop now: Flat Shipping, Price Shipping, Item Shipping, Free Shipping, Weight Shipping, Australia Post Shipping and UPS Shipping.

4. We also showing change-logs in EShop description on our site now.
