This is a paid extension. A subscription covers 1, 3, 5 or unlimited sites, includes 1 year of updates and support, and the extension keeps working after it expires: https://www.web357.com/gmail-smtp-connect-joomla-plugin/pricing

Works with Joomla 4, 5 and 6.

Why It's a Game-Changer

🔐 No Gmail password in Joomla
You sign in with Google once. The plugin stores an OAuth token and renews it on its own.

📮 Every extension sends through Gmail
The plugin takes over Joomla's mailer, so core forms, registrations and third-party extensions need no extra setup.

🧭 Setup with a guide for every screen
Create an OAuth client in Google Cloud, paste two values into the plugin and click Authenticate with Gmail.

✅ Know that it works
A connection status and a test email show that mail goes out before your visitors need it.

🛠️ Clear help when the host blocks SMTP
If your server cannot reach smtp.gmail.com, the test email reports it and the docs list what to ask your host.

Key Features

• OAuth 2.0 sign-in with Google, so no Gmail password is stored on your site
• Sends through smtp.gmail.com with TLS on port 587 or SSL on port 465
• Overrides Joomla's core mail; the SMTP fields in Global Configuration are dimmed while the plugin is active
• Works with any extension that uses Joomla's mailer: contact forms, registration, password reset, shop and membership emails
• Authorized Redirect URI ready to copy from the plugin into Google Cloud
• From Name setting for the sender name your recipients see
• The access token renews itself after the first sign-in
• Send Test Email form and a Gmail Authentication Status that shows the connection
• Delete Access Key to remove the stored token from Joomla, with a link to revoke the app in your Google account
• Option to skip SSL certificate verification on servers with a broken certificate chain
• Step-by-step Google Cloud guide and troubleshooting for common errors
