Social Connect Link
Introduction
Social Connect Link allows you to display social media profile icons with links, hover effects, and tooltips anywhere on your Joomla 6 website. Version 5 introduces a fully flexible Custom Social Links system — add any social network, any website, or any custom URL with your own icon, completely independently from the admin back-end. No coding. No file editing. No limits.
NEW in Version 5 — Custom Social Links
You are no longer limited to the built-in social networks. With the new Custom Social Links feature you can:
- Add any social network not in the built-in list — Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, and more.
- Add any website or custom URL — your own blog, portfolio, app store listing, affiliate link, or anywhere else you want to send visitors.
- Upload or select your own icon image for each link via the Joomla Media Manager — SVG, PNG, or JPG.
- Set a custom tooltip label for each link so visitors know exactly where they are going.
- Add unlimited entries — there is no maximum number of custom links.
- Reorder links by dragging and dropping rows — no page refresh needed.
- Remove any link instantly with a single click.
- Everything is managed from the module settings — no PHP, no CSS, no FTP required.
Social Link Mode
Control exactly what appears on your site with the new Social Link Mode setting:
- Fixed Social Links — Show only the 15 built-in networks you have enabled.
- Custom Social Links — Show only your own custom links. The built-in networks are hidden entirely.
- Combined — Show both built-in and custom links together in one list. (Default)
