Flexheader3 expands the existing possibilities to show pictures or load css files for flexible styling of your website. Flexheader3 makes it possible to assign an image or css-file at any point in your website, it does not depend on menu entries.

Flexheader3 The picture appears on a module position and can be outside of your content, e.g. in your template header position.

Flexheader3 Features are:

  • Joomla! 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5, 3 and 4/5 Native Module
  • there is also a Joomla 4 compatible version available
  • only one module needed fort many pictures
  • can assign pictures to any page on joomla: articles, categories, components, menu entries and parent menu entries
  • outputs an image, div with background image (to overlay your logo)
  • can load a css file for styling pages, no need for different templates anymore
  • released under the GPL License
  • comes with german and english translation
  • displays an help window on the frontpage, there you can see the filenames you need for use with flexheader3

Flexheader wurde geschrieben, um das Styling einer Joomla!-Webseite gravierend zu vereinfachen.
...um auf jeder Seite innerhalb einer Webseite ein Headerbild oder eine CSS-Datei zuweisen zu können.

Die Abhängigkeit von Menüpunkten entfällt komplett!

Standardmäßig ist die Zuweisung eines Moduls in Joomla! immer an das Vorhandensein eines Menupunktes gebunden.
Flexheader hebt dieses Prinzip aus und ermöglicht es so, auch sonst unzugängliche Artikel (z.B. Beiträge innerhalb einer Blog-Ansicht ohne eigenen Menupunkt) gezielt an zu sprechen.

Flexheader3 hat folgenden Merkmale:

  • kompatibel mit Joomla! 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5, 3 und 4/5
  • Joomla! 5 kompatible Version verfügbar
  • nur 1 Modul zuweisen und auf jeder Seite einen (auf Wunsch anderen) Header haben
  • kann Bilder zuweisen zu: -- Artikel/Beiträge -- Kategorien -- Komponenten -- Sprachen -- Menueinträgen -- Eltern-Menueinträgen
  • Die Ausgabe kann so erfolgen: -- Bild -- DIV mit dem Bild als Hintergrund -- Damit kann man zum Beispiel ein Logo über das Headerbild legen -- CSS-Datei mit beliebigem Inhalt (kann in Verbindung mit Bild und DIV genutzt werden)
  • Bindet auf Wunsch CSS-Dateien ein, diese Funktion ermöglicht unterschiedliches Styling pro oben genannter Zuweisung mit nur einem Template
  • Beispielsweise könnte man die Überschriften auf einer Seite blau einfärben, woanders rot
  • unter der GPL Lizenz veröffentlicht
  • kommt mit deutscher und englischer Übersetzung
  • nutzt den Joomla!-Updater
  • kann auf der Webseite (also nicht im Admin) ein Hilfefenster anzeigen, aus dem die Zuweisung ersichtlich wird.
  • erzeugt vailden HTML code
  • kann mit responsive-Design verwendet werden

This is a very well thought-out extension. Andre, the developer, knows what he is doing. It's easy to set up and install, with lots of nice parameters and advance parameters.



Also great is you can set your image as a background image if you want. That is really cool!



And, keep in mind, you don't have to use this only for headers. You can use it for any image where you would like the flexibility (such as easily making your image a background image) that Flexheader3 provides.

I've installed and compared several components and this component is by far the best one I've used.



This installation and configuration was easy and it works perfectly. Also the debug-window which show you the names for the page, sections, categories is great.



I highly recommend you to try this component. You won't be disappointed!

I've spent hours looking for something that did exactly what this little extension does. I encountered a small problem in the beginning, but it was easily resolved after I contacted the developer and he responded promptly to my question.



I love this extension! Thanks for putting it together!



I would suggest to update the documentation and make it specific for Flexheader3, instead of 2. Other than that, flawless.

This is just what I was looking for. I needed to be able to show a different header image for each page on my site as well as a flash header for the homepage. I was able to do all of this with this extension.



The only thing I can think of that would make this better and 100% perfect is if it could display several photos in a rotating sideshow fashion.

Verry easy to install and configure.

Really good job and many thanks here.



But i have one question.

You can hyperlink the image but can you also make it that when people click on the image it will open in a new window ?



But again i LOVE this module

It installed painlessly, and within five minutes I was rotating two Flash banners in a module position. Nice one!



My only gripe is that the module doesn't Validate when Flash content is used. I use Flash content a lot, so I realise how difficult it is to get it to validate, but it's definitely possible, using the Flash Satay method or similar. Minor detail, I know, but some people take their validation seriously... (a bit too seriously, some would say.)
Owner's reply: My problem is, that i do not know posibilties to load flash in all browsers without breaking the xhtml. I searched for a solution over the web, but most sites say: You have to use that buggy methods to support all browsers. If you know methods and sites, that can load flash without breaking xhtml > please write me an email. Thank you very much.
