JA Promo Bar is a free Responsive Joomla extension for Joomla 3 and Joomla 2.5. The module serves to display a notification bar on the top position of your site that includes message, countdown, link, button and can be sticky. This Joomla module is totally responsive which means it adapts perfectly to a wide range of viewing environments as desktop, tablet or mobile for stunning look. Just one click at the control panel and the promotion bar is ready to be on or off.

Functionality
Promises buttons, links, countdown but no... problems with all these..
Ease of use
yes... if you like the least of what it promises..

NO! only paid forum access.!!!

elementary...
I used this to: my site. countdown uses UTC. adds 2 every time i save to match my UTC+2 time..Button appears always left, size/shape unchangeable..every save creates new theme which i cant delete! Only paid view of forum talks, no support. AWFULL!! Please make it paid download so we dont bother

Functionality
Worked exactly as advertised. I had my bar up and running on my website in just a few minutes.
Ease of use
Very easy to use, step-by-step instructions and intuitive setup menu.
Documentation
Very easy to implement.

Functionality
One must tweak the Extensions default.php file to get it to work relativitly well, but still there are issues.
Ease of use
Very easy to use but it doesn't matter when it isn't working as it should.
Support
The first support staff couldn't help me with my problem, but promised to get help from colleagues. Still awating answer...

I was disappointed to find that HelloBar no longer lets users hide the bar. I came across JA Promo bar and like it even better than HelloBar! Now clients can update the bar without leaving their Joomla site, and it's easier to install on new sites. Highly recommended.

The only alternative I'd get is the Hello bar, but if you need a native extension this is it.
