JT Content Notify adds a lightweight frontend notification centre for Joomla! core articles.

The extension works directly with com_content and displays newly published or updated articles through a notification bell, unread counter, Bootstrap 5 dropdown, and a paginated View All page. It does not create a separate notification content type or duplicate Joomla! articles.

Notification results respect Joomla! article and category publication states, access levels, authorised view levels, publishing dates, language filtering, category hierarchy, featured status, SEF routing, and active module configuration.

Administrators can select one or more categories, include child categories, choose the publish, created, or modified date as the notification source, configure the new-content period, control featured article filtering, and set separate limits for the dropdown and paginated notification page.

For logged-in users, JT Content Notify stores only the Joomla! user ID, module ID, and last-read timestamp. The included Privacy plugin integrates this information with Joomla! personal-data export and removal workflows.

Guest read state remains in the visitor's browser and is not stored permanently in the Joomla! database.

The included system plugin removes obsolete read-state records when related Joomla! users or JT Content Notify module instances are deleted.

The installation package contains a Joomla! MVC component, a frontend notification module, a Privacy plugin, and a system cleanup plugin.

JT Content Notify uses Joomla! core Bootstrap 5 assets and does not bundle an additional frontend framework.
