QC Dynamic Replacer
Introduction
Replace, remove, insert, wrap, and dynamically generate Joomla frontend content without editing template or extension source files. QC Dynamic Replacer gives Joomla administrators a flexible Rule and Token system for changing rendered frontend output based on the page being viewed, menu item, URL, audience, schedule, component or module context, technical conditions, and other targeting controls. Rules can replace or remove matching output, insert content before or after it, or wrap it with new content, while reusable Tokens can supply text and other dynamic values anywhere QCDR processing is available. Pro adds advanced targeting, scheduling, rich and nested Tokens, private Preview, and Rule Health diagnostics. Max adds IP and technical targeting, Joomla Content / Dynamic Data Tokens, the full Discovery toolkit for tracing and diagnosing rendered output, and permission-controlled PHP Tokens for authorized server-side PHP output. QCDR works on rendered frontend output only and intentionally does not modify Joomla source files or Administrator pages. Basic is free for 1 production domain, Pro supports 3 production domains, Max supports 5 production domains, and a 3-day Max Preview lets eligible users try the complete feature set.
Core Features
• Free Basic plan for 1 production domain with a 3-day free Max Preview
• Create unlimited Rules and Tokens
• Replace matching rendered frontend content
• Remove matching rendered frontend content
• Insert content before or after a match
• Wrap matched content with new output
• Control case sensitivity and occurrence handling
• Target Rules by page, menu item, and URL
• Create reusable Text Tokens
• Use standalone Tokens directly in Joomla content
• Use Tokens as reusable Rule replacement values
• Preserve authored frontend content when a required Token is disabled, unavailable, or otherwise not eligible to run
• Keep Rule Processing and Token Processing under separate live-processing controls
• Filter Rule and Token libraries by All, Enabled, Disabled, and Archived
• Work entirely on rendered frontend output without changing Joomla, template, or extension source files
• Exclude Joomla Administrator output from replacement processing
• Preserve saved configuration when paid features become unavailable after a license downgrade
• Use automatic license revalidation with server-side feature entitlement checks
Pro Features
• Includes all Basic Rule, Token, targeting, and frontend-processing features
• License up to 3 production domains
• Target output by component and site-module context
• Target guests, logged-in users, and selected Joomla user groups
• Schedule Rules with dates, times, recurrence, timezone handling, and blackout periods
• Use Stop Processing to prevent later eligible Rules from continuing after a successful replacement
• Create HTML, Image, Link, URL, and nested Tokens
• Reuse Tokens inside other Token output for more flexible dynamic content
• Privately Preview disabled or draft Rules without exposing them to ordinary frontend visitors
• Use Rule Health diagnostics to check Rule state, targeting, Token readiness, search matches, replacement readiness, and final live eligibility
• Keep paid configuration stored if the license is later downgraded so it is ready again when Pro or higher entitlement returns
Max / All Access Features
• Includes all Basic and Pro features
• License up to 5 production domains on Max
• Target Rules by visitor IP address
• Use advanced technical-condition targeting
• Apply protected-area controls for sensitive or restricted frontend output
• Create Joomla Content / Dynamic Data Tokens using Joomla-managed information
• Use Click It, Change It discovery tools to inspect rendered frontend output
• Trace likely output sources with evidence and confidence mapping
• Create and compare Target Fingerprints to identify output drift
• Use Page Scan and Explain This Output diagnostics
• Run bounded Site Impact Scans across up to 40 deduplicated same-site pages
• Use Dynamic DOM Watch for output that appears or changes after the initial page render
• Create PHP Tokens that execute authorized server-side PHP and capture the resulting output
• Choose Once per page request — Recommended for PHP Tokens so one execution can be safely reused across repeated appearances on the same page
• Choose Every occurrence — Advanced only when PHP code intentionally needs to execute separately at each eligible Token location or Rule match
• Control PHP error handling with Hide PHP errors — Recommended or Show sanitized PHP errors — Advanced
• Require the dedicated Joomla Manage PHP Tokens permission in addition to Max entitlement before administrators can manage PHP-capable Tokens
• Preserve PHP Token code and other Max configuration when the license is downgraded while preventing unavailable Max features from executing
• All Access includes Max-level QC Dynamic Replacer access as part of the QuantaCade extension collection
Safety First
QC Dynamic Replacer is designed to change rendered Joomla frontend output without permanently modifying Joomla core files, template files, extension files, or other source files. Rules and Tokens are evaluated during frontend rendering, Joomla Administrator output is intentionally excluded, and live Rule Processing and Token Processing controls provide separate ways to stop replacement behavior when troubleshooting. When a Rule or Token is disabled, unavailable, outside its targeting conditions, or blocked by its current plan entitlement, QCDR preserves the authored frontend content instead of silently replacing it with a blank value.
PHP Tokens are an intentionally powerful Max-level capability for trusted administrators. They execute server-side PHP and therefore carry the same responsibilities as other authorized custom PHP code on the site. QCDR protects PHP Token administration with both server-side Max entitlement checks and a dedicated Joomla ACL permission, defaults execution to once per page request, limits captured output, contains PHP failures, and prevents raw stack traces, temporary filenames, server filesystem paths, and PHP source from being exposed through frontend error output. Administrators can keep PHP errors hidden so failed Tokens leave the original authored content in place, or temporarily show sanitized error details for testing and troubleshooting.
