sigplus adds photo and multimedia galleries to a Joomla article with a simple syntax. It takes a matter of minutes to set up but comes with a vast range of options for advanced users.

Despite its versatility, sigplus is completely free. It is a full-fledged product with all features included, there is no need to buy a commercial professional version for extra features or purchase club membership to unlock additional privileges.

Excellent solution, excellent support

Functionality
The extension ist loaded with functionalities and works extremely well. I like the possibilty to add images without touching Joomla content.
Ease of use
At first it takes some time to sort out the options. But for the typical user, sigplus is quite straightforward.
Support
The support is excellent. I reported an issue and received a valid answer including the solution within 20 minutes (at Friday night).
Documentation
The documentation is comprehensive, but quite technical.
Good: Separation between basic and extended use.
I used this to: I've been using the extension for years on a number of different websites.

Functionality
The extension does not work when somebody attempts to assign it to a module position. Please message me as this form is hideous.
Ease of use
It doesn't work for the majority of people who will want to install it in a decent layout so i'm afraid I can't rate it as in as easy.

Documentation
The documentation is good, sadly the module does not work as intended due to fundamental bugs and therefore it renders the doc a bit useless
I used this to: I can't use it all. It's ironic where I need to type more I can't and where the response could do with being shorter - for this question, I can't do that either. Thank you Joomla for an absolutely hideous website.

Functionality
I tried it by chance, and I find a gold mine. Manages images and automatically synchronizes folders, watermarks, image optimization etc..
Ease of use
It takes some time to understand it, because it is full of options. However, it is very intuitive.
Support
I didn't contact them because I didn't need them. I just played around with the settings.
Documentation
I didn't need it, I read the documentation out of curiosity, and I saw it and it is very detailed
I used this to: I upload images via FTP and this plugin does the rest, optimization, cropping, watermark, galleries etc.
I recommend a few more options for mobile. However, it remains a great product to try absolutely.

The gallery was set up in minutes, the required parameters found immediatelly in documentation. I use this extension since years.

20mn support time from developer with to the point solution (cache deleted by some other extension) is unparalelled in IT Support. Thank you

Well structured and easy to use, all the various parameters can be found as needed. The format of 1 file allows discovering new features
I used this to: A website for my project founding a private school in Germany, we need different access levels for image series, since children are shown. Sigplus allows that integrated with Joomla rights management

Great in so many ways, but alas...

Excellent. Lots of possibilities. Unfortunately on Android and Linux the slideshows etc do not work for us

Functionality
Set it up for simply gallery grid with lightbox slideshow when one of images is clicked. Did it out of the box after just one option change.
Ease of use
I had my pictures pre-cropped & ready to go in a folder, which helped. Put in the shortcode with my folder name & done. Super easy!
Support
Note this requires certain server-side extensions present in your hosting environment (true for most images add-ons).
Documentation
Documentation is short but very clear. Good walk-through for getting started. From there, play around with the options to see what they do.
I used this to: A light weight, responsive grid gallery, and clicking on an image pops up larger with option to arrow through collection. This does exactly that out of the box with option layout="flow". WOW - super fast load on my old Android phone, too!
