Minitek Content Notifications is a Joomla extension that allows users to subscribe to content and receive notifications about content changes. Users (guests and members) can subscribe to notifications about the following types of events:

Article has been created
Article has been updated

Users can follow specific Content Categories and receive notifications for new articles and articles updates.
Users can follow specific Content Authors and receive notifications for new articles and articles updates.
Users can follow specific Content Tags and receive notifications for new articles and articles updates.
Users can follow specific Content Articles and receive notifications for updates.

Functionality

A thoughtfully designed extension, considers all kinds of use cases. I love that users can self manage the categories they want updates in.

Ease of use

Easy to set up and manage. Understanding how to send notifications is a learning curve but easy after you’ve done it once or twice.

Support

Very responsive, kind, and thorough. Released a new version the same day I reported a relatively minor bug.

Documentation

Well organized; could use more detail but overall it’s very helpful.

Value for money

Absolutely worth it, and always happy to directly support developers with useful products.

I used this to: A multilingual resource hub where users can subscribe to new content or content updates in the categories of their choice. It works very well and is easy to understand for users.
