Introduction

Living, Religion

Current version (For Joomla 3.x): 9.2.8. There is a beta version of Proclaim 10 compatible with Joomla 4 & 5. Please visit the Christian Web Ministries site for more information.

Proclaim is from the Christian Web Ministries team. Version 9.2.8 is a bug and security fix. Proclaim! now includes SimpleView - a simplified way to create and display sermons. This powerful and flexible extension to show study notes and multimedia content is better than ever. All views are now responsive and there is a new way to handle uploading and displaying multimedia content. Powerful - flexible - customizable - searchable. Proclaim! works in Joomla 3.x and Joomla 1.5 (6.2.4 - though no longer supported). Unlimited media files, internal video/audio player, ACL throughout (to control viewing and editing privileges).

You can publish your study notes and multimedia files in nearly as many ways as you can imagine. Views include study lists and details, teachers, series, a landing page - plus podcasting and a module for your latest sermons.

Plugins for automated podcasting, backup, and search. Plus a front end entry system. In short, if you have a church and wish to publish your sermons online, this is the product you need.

Proclaim was designed by a pastor with a heart for ministry over the internet and is maintained by a dedicated group of believers.

I used this to: Couldn't use. No demo, docs or contact form.
Owner's reply: I'm not sure what problems you were having but our site was up and working. Perhaps you should post on the forum. We are very responsive and want to help churches succeed with this extension.

Excellent extension

This extension does more than anybody might need, or you can tweak it every way possible and use all of the features. I don't believe this extension lacks any feature you could want or need. Tom has been a blessing converting 750 sermons from sermonspeaker to JBS. Going from Joomla 1.5 to 3.xx was not an easy task but Tom made it easy. I'm sure I could have made it easier on myself if I read some instructions but I needed to get it up and running and once that happened, I could go back and experiment with the features. Thank you Tom.

Great Product

I cannot say enough about how great this extension is. I was using another extension for our sermons, we decided we wanted to try doing podcasts. The extension we had did not easily support podcasts so I went looking for something that did. I found JBS and I'm glad I did. It's a very powerful tool that can really enhance your church website. The support is top notch and to top it all off, IT'S FREE! Tom and Brent have done a terrific job with not only the extension but with the support too. They get my vote!

Love JBS!

When I first set about building the new website here at St John there were some basic tenants that I wanted to be sure an adhere too.

I wanted to make sure the site was database driven and fully extensible. Having quite a bit of experience with a content management system called Joomla it seemed logical to me to use the Joomla CMS to accomplish this goal.

I wanted everything to be simple for both the St John staff and our visitors. We are always tweaking our menus to make things easier to find and the overall site more intuitive and user friendly.

I also wanted to make sure our online media and study resources were easy to update, easy to navigate and full of information. I searched and tested many extensions. Finally, I found the one that had the most potential, Joomla Bible Study @ http://www.joomlabiblestudy.org .

This components is extremely useful and a little complex. Almost immediately I had questions. Pastor Tom Fuller, and Brent Cordis helped me with questions. To say their support was good is an understatement. These gentlemen really care about what they are doing and it shows in their work.

They offer this component and fantastic support at no cost. That's right folks, free. No catches, strings, no sitting through a timeshare presentation, no credit card needed. Just literally free, to help others spread the glory of Christ.

This component is a major focal point for our website and I wanted to take the time to share my thoughts and gratitude.
This is an excellent component which will meet all your sermon listing requirements.

There is good documentation guiding one through configuration and there is futher support through the forum which is quick and very helpful!

Suggestions for improvement taken on-board for future versions.

Configuration would be easier if Media Files and Studies were configurable from the same area, but on the whole I can't recommend it highly enough!
Bibly Study is the first and only sermon component i used, so i cant speak about the others. But i can say, i never thought one minute about searching for an alternate.

This is a really big, good structured component. You'll need a few minutes to get it right and if you raise your limits dont be shy to post on the support forum. No question will be unanswered.

Short: Great Component! Great Support! and all for FREE!

Excellent

Have been using this for over a year - works really well for managing & publishing a very large database of sermons. I've been using the Joomla 1.5 version of the software.

Don't be put off by the lack of recent reviews.

Great support if required in the JoomlaOregon forums.

We have been using this component now for 8 months and must say that it is fabulous. It has plenty of features for our needs. When I had a suggestion for a small improvement it appeared as a revision in the next release. When I found a bug, Tom squashed it in a matter of hours for us, and the next release included a permanent fix. The support for this component is very very good - and support for a newbie (like me) is as important as the qualities of the component.
