Introduction

Languages, Multi-lingual Content, Automatic translations, Language Edition

After more than 32 years Falang is still the easiest system to translate your Joomla site into one or more languages.
You don't need to duplicate everything, just translate your default language into one or more languages.
The most used components are supported by Falang with content element.
You can use translation service to help you in the translation like deepl/google/azure

Joomla 4 compatible is Falang 4.X version last 4.14 (2023/10/10)

Since the 2.0 vesion show you the status of component translation directly in joomla for menu, article, module.... you can easy extend it for almost all components.

The component is so flexible that you can easily add new components at a later date and then translate the new content.

With extensions you can translate k2, aiContactSafe, hikashop, Redshop, jDownload, phocaDownload ....

The free version has a backlink to faboba site. You can remove it if you upgrade to a basic or standard version without losing your translations and parameters.

The Free version has some limitations.

Falang doesn't use the default language system of Joomla 2.5 and 3.5. You don't have to specify a language for each content article or menu item (which results in a huge amount of duplication).

Did you ever ask yourself how you can create a multi-lingual website without copying every single item and re-creating them in the new language? Then Falang is one of the possible answers to this problem.

Falang was a fork of Joomfish (2012)

The Falang 6.X are for Joomla 6 and Joomla 5+ version

Functionality
Great when you want to translate your website into other languages. I'm a newbie so I probably have not yet discovered all functionalities.
Ease of use
use is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. As with all plugins, it needs a bit of trial and error.
Support
Support is downright awesome. I've run into two issues that I was unable to fix with the available documentation. No problem to get help.
Documentation
To me it's a bit lean and very technical. A summeray of used terms/abbreviations and their meaning in the translation fields would be great.
I used this to: My blog website is in English and I use Falang to translate it into Dutch.

Easy installation and configuration. When setting up the site is was very easy and it had all the function I needed.

Really useful extension, I have used it for 6 years on different Joomla releases without any isssue. Many many functionalities

Functionality
The translation of web site content has never been easier after installing this extension
Ease of use
The standard license gives you the "one click" translation button, that makes management of pages for multi languages very easy.

much better lang system than the joomla defaults.
I can imagine a few feature request (probably on TODO allready)

Functionality
Easy to use, super to make a multilanguage Joomla site in different languages.
Ease of use
Can be better, but hey what is 100% ? Together with Speedy Translate it's much easier.
Support
Quick in his responses and helps tills it's resolved. An example for others.
Documentation
Can be better and more clear. But it's enough to get started and help is not far away.
I used this to: My cooking recipes website in 3 languages. Dutch, French and English.

Functionality
It is a fundamental extension for those who update a site created using Jooomfish and for those are familiar with that translation system.
Ease of use
The translation system is really simple and intuitive. Much easier and faster to use than the Joomla 3.x native translation system.
Support
The support is excellent, very quick and punctual.I got to appreciate the quality of the service offered both before and after the purchase.
Documentation
I used this to: I use the component in the basic version for a very large site that initially used Joomfish. I recommend the purchase of the paid version that allows you to change the translations of the items of each supported component on the fly, making the translation work much faster.

FaLang and SP Pagebuilder

FaLang is a must for multi language sites. The FaLang integration with SP Pagebuilder irons out all of the translation issues one might have
Ease of use
Not very much to set up, things just seemed to work for the start. A click or two and away you go.
Support
Excellent, what more can one say, but to fill out the minimum 64 count I'll write a little more.

Fish2Falang is a component used to migrate joomfish translation from a joomla 1.5 version in Falang compoment. This is the best way to migrate joomfish data. This component don't migrate joomla item from the core. You need to use another tool like SpUpgrade , Migrate Me, .... 29/11/2016 (1.4) - add update server - fix display of default language in cpanel...
