Add Custom Javascript

Load your custom Javascript code to all or some pages of your website.

Sometimes there is need to do customizations to the appearance of the template or the included extensions and these customizations are not possible using CSS. Also there is need to add some functionality on a form or button. This extension loads your custom Javascript file after all other Javascript files (except special hard coded occasions), allowing you to be the last one who will affect your website.

Using this extension for adding custom Javascript code there is no need to change the code of the template or the other extensions. That way you are free to apply updates, when an update from the creator is available, without worrying if the custom changes are going to be lost.

The custom Javascript code is embedded in the head section and not included as a link to the custom JS file because this way the code is loaded last.

Functionality

Sorry, couldn't make it work on Joomla 4. It's making me typing in more words, but I really don't have anything else to say.

Ease of use

It's very raw - you have to write your JS file, put in a folder, do a path to that folder, but again, it didn't work

Support

All I could find was a demo that worked, but the plugin doesn't work for us on Joomla 4.

Documentation

Not much to speak of - a good description of how to make this work would be helpful.

I used this to: We don't use this since we couldn't make it work on Joomla 4.2. It's making me typing in more words, but I really don't have anything else to say. It doesn't work in Joomla 4.2 using Cassiopeia Template.

Functionality

Relative path not working. and just 3 inputbox implemented. there is no dynamic adding

Ease of use

No section for writing JS code inside plugin! you should make file and include it

I suggest some improvement and not accepted! no good vision for this plugin

Owner's reply: How you are supposed to handle custom Javascript when you can't make a simple plugin like this to work?
Maybe you should think first that:
- A section to write Javascript inside the plugin is not convenient because Javascript is cumbersome and needs a nice editor to help the development.
- Even the three input boxes are too many since you can write code in a single file that can be executed partially in different pages. There is no need to break the code to many files.
- The philosophy of the plugin is to write the code in a file in order to be able to easily add code and test repeatedly.

Useful when needing to add/ load a provided JavaScript...

At my side runninh a JA_tempate that don't provide ... section inside its index.php file I didn't see other way to include the CODE provided by 'sublimevideo' that allow to call their excelent remote player...

This add-on saved me and now the player works fine!
