Introduction

Replace the default Joomla content search plugin with this extension, and get much more functionalities.

Functionality

This plugin seems like a very good plugin and I am sure it is. It has a lot of options Joomla is missing by default.

Ease of use

Very easy to be honest. Install, go to Plugin and activate with your selection specified.

I used this to: installed for a site to restrict search results but does not work for me. Categories and articles marked as "Excluded" still shows up.

Functionality

Quite useful, especially when you have a custom error page, thank-you form pages, or anything else you want to remove from search results.

Ease of use

Just enable and fill in the article(s) ID you want to exclude or include. Also you can select categories from a list, to include or exclude.

Support

Didn't need any. The plugin hasn't been updated for some time, but I used it on a recent Joomla site and worked fine.

Documentation

Doesn't need any, it's pretty self-explanatory and with tooltips for its options.

I used this to: a quick fix of search results, in sites where the default Joomla search is used.

Just install and enable the plugin, then disable the regular Joomla Search-Content plugin. Including or Excluding categories is super easy.

As you can read in the description, this plugin is for 'Replace the default Joomla content search plugin with this extension, and get much more functionalities', such as filter for the categories and articles, so you can improve your result list for the standard Joomla search. If you also have the Universal AJAX Live Search extension, then you can show the article intro or full images in the result list. After install this plugin, you can find it in the Plugin manager of your backend, under the 'search' section. You can also change the settings, if you click on the title for edit.
