pure css tooltip

Introduction

Plugin to make pure css tooltips in any editor.

syntax in editor:

normal:
{tooltip}link{end-link}tooltip text{end-tooltip}

tooltip where tooltip-link is also a hyperlink:
{tooltip href="http://www.joomla.org" target="_blank"}joomla{end-link}Joomla is good{end-tooltip}

tooltip with different style:
{tooltip class="tooltip_blue"}blue{end-link}blue tooltip box{end-tooltip}

dropdown so you can put hyperlinks in the tooltip, so it becomes a dropdown menu:
{tooltip class="purecssdropdown"}dropdown menu{end-link}content with links etc.{end-tooltip}

You can edit the css in:
* Joomla 1.6: /plugins/content/purecsstooltip.css
* Joomla 1.5: /plugins/content/purecsstooltip.css
* Joomla 1.0: /mambots/content/purecsstooltip.css

Also works in Internet Explorer 6!
Except for the dropdown feature.
In Joomla 1.0 only the basic tooltip functionality works.

We had to disable another Plugin that was causing a conflict and stopping this working (Rockettheme's RokBox).

After that, it works perfectly.

We got fast helpful replies to a support contact also.

I would like to insert links inside the tooltip, but if I do that the tooltip breaks. Is there a solution to this?

The problem is that when I try to use more than 2 tooltips I end up with display issues.

i'd give this an excellent .. but for the fact that the 'link' is an actual link that is clickable, which just reloads the page. (is there a way to ditch that part?)

however .. it's VERY easy to use .. shows a nice tooltip .. i like it a lot!!!

Owner's reply: you can take the link away, but then it won't work in IE6. I will make this optional in the next version. If you want to get rid of the link edit plugins/content/purecsstooltip.php on line 53.
