🚀 How It Works (Setup Steps)

Follow these simple steps to start capturing leads and tracking your downloads:

Step 1: Install the Package
Upload and install the pkg_jresourcedownloads.zip file using the Extension Manager. This single package automatically installs the core component, the front-end module, and all the required plugins.

Step 2: Create a Capture Form
Navigate to Components > JResource Download Tracker > Forms. Click "New" to create a form. Choose which fields you want users to complete (for example, Name or Job Role) and customise your privacy and marketing consent text.

Step 3: Upload a Resource
Go to the Resources tab and click "New". Give your resource a title, a brief description, upload an eye-catching thumbnail image, and select the file from your server. Finally, assign the form you created in Step 2 to this resource to gate access to the download.

Step 4: Display on Your Website
Go to System > Site Modules and create a new JResource Download Tracker Module. Select the resource you just created and publish the module to a position on your website.

(Alternatively, you can embed a resource directly into any Article by typing {jresource ID} where "ID" is your resource number!)

Step 5: Watch the Leads Roll In
When a user visits your site, they will see an attractive resource card. Clicking it opens the capture form. Once the form has been submitted, they receive an email containing a secure download link that remains valid for 24 hours. After clicking the link, the file is downloaded securely and their details appear in your administration Leads dashboard.
