xbFilms is a component for cataloguing films

The primary intended user is someone wanting to keep a record of films they have seen with a reminder of the plot and what their reaction was.
A film can have multiple reviews by the same or different users, allowing family and friends or a reading group to share their comments.
A review can consist of a simple star rating, or be as long as you like.
A film entry includes at least a title, but has many other optional fields including summary, synopsis and production details.

Details of people (eg directors, cast and crew, and people who appear in the film) and characters are shared with xbBooks and other potential xbCulture components (gigs, shows, events etc)

Full use can be made of the built-in Joomla category and tagging facilities to cross-reference genres or any other attributes.

xbFilms is installed as a package containing two components - com_xbfilms and a supporting component, com_xbpeople, for administration of people and characters which are common to all xbCulture components.

NB Now that Joomla3 is reaching end of support this version of xbFilms will probably be the last that will work with pure Joomla 3.10.10. Future versions are likely to be dependent on my own tweaked fork of Joomla3 (as xbJooma or Roomla v3.11+). I am remaining with J3 and not updating any of my components to J4 as it is too much hassle
