Core Enhancements

Sourcerer - place any code anywhere.

Sourcerer enables you to place PHP and any kind of HTML style code (including CSS and JavaScript) right in to your content! Not only in your articles, but also in sections, categories, modules, components, META tags, etc.

You can now just place your original codes right into your WYSIWYG editor. The only thing you have to do is surround the code with the Sourcerer tags. Easy peasy!

So now you can also use PHP scripts in your content. That opens up a great deal of possibilities.

Most Joomla! Text Editors will strip parts of your HTML code, like JavaScripts (think of statistics scripts) and movie embed tags. With Sourcerer you won't have these limitations.

Easy to use editor button
Sourcerer comes with a very easy to use editor button. This will help you paste your code in a clean format that will not cause any problems. Also it comes with syntax coloring (php, js, css, html).

Functionality
I wrapped a SQL query inside a PHP script and it worked great.
Ease of use
Requires a moderate amount of learning and study if you don't already know something about PHP and how queries work.
Support
Excellent. Had one syntax problem, and was helped quickly to isolate and fix.
Documentation
Very good, but still had to dig into Joomla database documentation. Be ready to devote some time.
I used this to: Query a database, then display the results inside a Modals window. Modals are another package from Regular Labs. This makes the content of the MySQL database dynamically available for viewing by the user.

Does exactly what he says it does. Couldn't be happier
Ease of use
Couldn't be simpler to use. Just put the code, in my case html, js and php between the tags with some minor edits.
Support
Excellent and Quick support. In my case it was just hours and I'm just using the free version at the moment.
I used this to: We are moving a few sites into Joomla! for the first time and we have some very client specific custom coded areas that we weren't looking forward to re-coding. Now we don't have too. Just some minor edits to make allowances for how Joomla! operates.
