I own three Event Management Extension



Ohanah - I always had a desire to buy but it looked too much married to JSN Venture Template and hesitated a lot.



When I tired it al-last It was so confusing with module Injector and shit like that but after couple of hours of concentration it fit my purpose so good that I will never regret buying it.



btw support is Great too...



"Maps for All events" Module is so crazy.



but people who are looking for event management extension without a Design but just functional like more dropdown options and Complex Configuration of Email and etc., please try OSDONATION Event Booking or TicketMaster.

In my experience, this is not the most user friendly extension straight out of the box. A consolidated user manual would be very helpful also.



But anytime I needed assistance, the developer was extremely helpful and responsive to my requests.



The only thing that was disappointing to me (as a non-professional Joomla user) was the difference in appearance of the extension versus the demo site. I was hoping to have much more styling right out of the box, but I learned that all of the styling is inherited from my template. So I had to do many customizations to try to get it to look the way that I wanted. It still doesn't look as good as in the demo, but I do not have the required knowledge to write css.



All in all, it is very worthwhile for the price paid with great support.

I must say that this extension does exactly what its supposed to do, out of the box and ALSO the support is incredible. I though I had a problem with the extension, wrote an e-mail to the support team and they just fixed it for me.!!!

If I was to write a review that encompassed my overall experience with Ohanah it would be a very long review that started off with mixed emotions. Upon installing Ohanah on my site, I was immediately frustrated because ater watching the videos and reading the documentation (In my opinion, the documentation needs some grammar improvements because some parts were confusing.), I could not get Ohanah to look aesthetically pleasing.



Initially I didnt know if this was a problem with Ohanah itself or something I was doing wrong. None of the module suffixes would work out of the box. I immediately contacted them for assistance.



After contacting the Ohanah Support Team, I received a response within 24 hours and soon found out that the problem was with my template which wasn't taking advantage of Joomla's newest features. This was definitely a let down but Bojan was committed to assisting me with getting this extension to work as intended.



He was kind and courteous enough to assist me with styling Ohanah up until a certain point (which was awesome because support doesn't cover styling your site since Ohanah is supposed to adapt to your site). With Bojan's help, some patience, and alot of css customizations, I was able to get Ohanah to have the simple yet feature-rich look that I needed.



Any issues that I encountered, Bojan made sure to get them resolved within 12 - 24 hours. The best part about this event extension is that the support is amazing. There's nothing more important that to have the needed support backing an extension especially when it's not functioning as intended. So despite the rough start and initial frustrations, I have to give them 5/5 for working with me to come up with a resolution.

for me ohanah offers everything I needed for my project and it has a very clean and modern look. It worked right away and when I had a minor java script issue (caused by a different extension)support was great. I can truely recommend it!

I have been looking for a beautiful easy to use events / registration component for a long time. When I recently had a problem with Events Registration Pro after upgrading it. I was told by their tech support that the problem was mine and caused by the other plugins (Allvideos and Easyblog). My mistake for using such obscure plug-ins!



Time to try out Ohanah. I am so pleased! The layout out of the box is beautiful simple and responsive. I’m preparing for turning over events updating to my non-techie client. Showing him the back-end interface for EventsRgPro made him shrink. The simple clear front-end event adding and editing delighted him. NOTE: Something that I discovered after working with Ohanah that you don’t see on their site: It is fully compatible with JCE. So you can dress up a page to your heart’s content. Although I did not buy Ohanah’s premium package, I received responses to all my tech inquires with in a few hours! In one case they personally sent me a patch for my specific configuration.

I’m hoping future versions will offer a few more pricing option and form options (i.e. radio buttons).

If you want an attractive easy to use (and train others on) events component, this is it.

Professional approach to business

This is my first review on JED and feet I got something to share that based on my experience. The product is superb and logically easy to use. However I had very minor issue with but thanks for the excellent support Bojan gave me I have nothing to worry about anymore. He kept me updated with the stages of fixing so I could schedule my plans. The product itself can still be improved but support handling compensate the gap. Highly recommended!

Terrible after sales support

For people who need an event management component for a multilingual site: this component is probably not for you. It will not work with the Joomla core multilingual module. It should have been explicitly stated. When I contacted the tech support, instead of trying to solve the problem, they told me TWICE to just unsubscribe from their services.

This is Bojan, the guy who spoke with you in the support ticket. What you wrote here is not really accurate.
You stated: "It will not work with the Joomla core multilingual module".
Based on our conversation on our support platform, you should say: "it's not working the way I want it to work with Joomla's Language Switcher module".
We helped you out and provided you with EasyLanguage plugin solution that we fully support and that provided a way for Ohanah to work issues free with native Joomla's multilingual capabilities. On top of that, I even installed Joomla native Language Switcher module on your site and it worked.
But what you wanted is something specific that for sure is NOT part of core functionality. Therefore stating that Ohanah doesn't work at all with Joomla's native multilingual capabilities is not only false, but also an obvious attempt to make us look "bad" by falsely accusing us. (this is against the JED rules and shouldn't be published at all).

As I said in the ticket, we are really sorry for your unhappiness and I encourage you one more time to take contact with us through the support platform so that we can find a solution that will make us all happy.

I was looking for a simple but good looking calendar extension, and the demo of Ohanah seemed to be just it.

The installation went without problems, but when I tried to use it the configuration pages where blank. After mailing them I got a response right away, and it turned out that it was a conflicting module that caused it, which was easily solved. So very good and fast support.

It all works like a charm now, and the customer that requested the calendar understood how to use it without me even explaining it.
