Events Management extension with a calendar module.
Cross-plaform J6 (with B/C plugin) / J5 / J4 / J3.10
Available in more 40 languages, iCagenda has a responsive and flexible design, with a theme pack installer inside.

  • Simple mass email for registered users to a specific event
  • Back-end Advanced ACL Access Permissions.
  • Front-end buttons: Print and Add to Calendar (iCal, Google, Yahoo, Outlook calendars)
  • Checkbox Terms and Conditions option for submission and registration forms (default text, article or custom url. Consent to terms is stored).
  • Custom Fields (types: text, list, radio buttons, url, email...) for registration and event forms.
  • Create individual registration form with flexibility for any event.
  • Feature Icons : create icon for a specific feature.
  • You can also insert a Map using OpenStreetMaps or Google Maps (embed or javascript API), an image and an attached file.
  • The description of the event is using your favorite editor (possibilities to add video, media...).
  • Multiple options to do more...

Display of events takes the form of a list, for which you can apply filters (upcoming dates and/or past, category(ies), ordering by dates...) and customize graphic elements (choice of theme, number events displayed per page, date format in your culture (for languages available in iCagenda), etc ...)

The Theme Manager allows you to use your own theme pack for iCagenda and install it easily via the component.
Two Themes are included in iCagenda : default and ic_rounded.

Functionality
it exactly does what we need from a event component. basic options are enough to perform most of the tasks.
Ease of use
simple component. very esay for end-users.
Support
very reactive, and efficient.
Documentation
enough if you don't really need some ! :)
I used this to: managing events. I bought the pro version in order to have the list of events module. with pro version I had a great support as well. Not expensive, I recommand to bought it,

Functionality
Just loaded the free version, which has persuaded me to buy the Pro version. The functionality is extensive and I am very impressed so far.
Ease of use
Fairly intuitive. However, as the functionality is extensive it requires some time and patience to cover it all
Documentation
Appears to be of good quality
I used this to: I will definitely use this a lot for my web sites.

Functionality
It does exactly what I expect of an event calendar. With many options to show events in a list and in detail. I mention: location, image etc
Ease of use
Very simple to install, if you want to install a different language package, don't forget to install the Joomla language package first!

An appropriate video that explains it all. One remark: skip the music :-)

Functionality
This plugin has all the functionality I need to manage events. I haven't looked into setting it up to show past events.
Ease of use
Self explanatory, very easy to configure and be up and running in minutes.

It covers most of event management systems needed functionality.
Ease of use
The interface is clean and follows Joomla's interface look.
Support
Responsive and friendly developer.
Documentation
The extension is really self-explanatory...
I used this to: A multi-section website (Olympic club) that needs to list all of their events per sport discipline.
Frontend edition of events, attendance.

iCagenda Pro Unlimited

Functionality
iCagenda has so many features, it's actually unlikely I'd use them all. They've thought of everything, but they still add to it!
Ease of use
Being such a full component, I was stunned to discover how intuitive it was. I've barely had to look at the documentation.
Support
I had one tiny problem after an update, and Cyril Rezé responded in record time with exactly the right solution. Other developers, take note
Documentation
The docs - to the limited degree I've had to use them - are perfect, and as the component grows, the docs follow... not always the case
I used this to: I've used iCagenda for galleries and club events (so far) and it's so feature rich and adaptable, I can't think of any events it wouldn't be ideal for. I've used other events components, but iCagenda is streets ahead of them all. Download, try, then subscribe. You won't regret it

Functionality
Does everything you should need in an events extension with clean, clear layout - Pro version.
Ease of use
Very easy extension to use as admin but more important, for other users. New events form is very clear & covers just about all requirements.
Support
Support is the best you will find, I had an issue with my setup with some other extensions causing problems but Cyril didn't give up until it was resolved, excellent.
Documentation
Video tutorial on website plus extensive road map but really it is so easy to setup, you don't need too much in the way of documentation.
I used this to: Community events for refugee organisations meaning the new events are set up by the different organisations themselves which is why it needs to be user friendly.
