It reads the login form before it is submitted to Joomla! and takes appropriate action based on its configuration, so it can reject a registration altogether, allowing the user to register but blocking his account immediately, or it can allow the user to register normally.

Main Settings

Enable and set up StopForumSpam filtering (number of occurrences needed on the StopForumSpam (blacklist in order to flag a user)
Set the action taken against a flagged user (block, allow, reject)
Set the location to redirect the user upon being rejected
Enable and add manual filters accordingly (IPs, domains, keywords, countries)
Manage permission settings for user groups (configure access and administrator interface access)

Backend Management

Dashboard containing recent spammers and a configuration overview
Logs containing various information regarding blocked and/or rejected users (IP, email, action, etc.)

Functionality

Does the job well. One good thing is that one can block registration and see when it happened, etc.

Ease of use

Fairly easy to use. I can't recall any difficulties to use this extension.

Support

Excellent support! There was a glitch with registration, probably after upgrade to Joomla 3.9.19, which was sorted very quickly.

Documentation

Fairly good. I can't recall any thing in the documentation that I could be better.

I used this to: To block and redirect visitors from specific IP-addresses to a chosen page. Furthermore, I also use it to block registration from certain domain names.

Functionality

Great. Installed on my Joomla 3.8.13 website. Easy to configure (read the documentation...) and it start to work immediatly.

Very easy to use. Just read the short documentation and maybe read some posts o the component's Forum.

Very good. Maybe some more practial configuration examples will be even better.

Functionality

Very effective. Protected me from a lot of Russian spam (I blocked the country) and hacker attacks (I blocked their IP numbers.

Ease of use

Complete Component, many good features, easy control from Dashboard & Options. Can block or delay repeated registration attempts from hacker
